Vandaag reed de derde Szigettrein vol met feestgangers. Deze vertrok rond 12:45 vanaf Utrecht naar Amersfoort. Zo kwam deze iets voor 13:00 door Soestduinen. Ditmaal weer een nieuw plekje opgezocht om te platen. Deze is alleen mooi wanneer de zon niet schijnt, en gelukkig was dit aardig het geval. Enkel een heel licht zonnetje was er. 10/08/14

Sziget 2018

Op 2 augustus reden er extra chartertreinen naar Budapest Nyugati ten behoeve van Szigetfestival. De eerste trein reed in de ochtend van Utrecht naar Venlo. De nieuwe 9906 van Locon mocht in Venlo de volgende sleep rijtuigen ophalen om deze dan weer naar Utrecht te brengen voor de tweede trein. Het ledig mat kon echter na 's Hertogenbosch niet verder rijden vanwege een stroomstoring tussen Geldermalsen en Culemborg. Om twee uur was de storing opgelost en kon de trein alsnog naar Utrecht rijden. Met ruim een uur vertraging komt trein 13493 langs het zeer warme Geldermalsen op weg naar Venlo en Budapest. Hopelijk zit er arko in alle rijtuigen anders wordt het nog een warme rit naar 't oosten.
