Revisiting a technique I last tried over three years ago, this time with a five-gallon (18.9L) bottle of purified drinking water. Oh, this was a tricky session, but it involved very little water to pull off, an important thing in a drought-prone area.

Bambi (the fluffy gray cat) is pretty sick. She is jaundiced and isn't eating and so I had to syringe feed her. Because we weren't open for appointments yet, I had brought Alexander Hamilton to the back treatment area where we were treating hospital cases and taking care of boarders. It's interesting - he loves other cats and hasn't set any of them off (yet). He watched the entire time I fed Bambi and then crawled up next to me to get an even closer look as I wiped the fur around Bambi's mouth. Bambi lives with several other cats and didn't seem to mind Alexander Hamilton being so close.
Happy Caturday: Preparation (in this case, it was more supervising than actually helping in Bambi's treatments).
A Sana-Lok syringe, it gives a merciless squirt.... Black Rubber is strong trough the years. A very nice piece.

I was cleaning up (read: organizing) my diabetes cupboard and I saw the box of syringes, I was bored enough that I decided to line them up and take a picture.
There were 60 of them, which used to be a month worth of basal rate if you will (14 units of levimir in the morning, and 16 at night).

Smallpox vaccination is today from many years receiving only in special cases. There's no exists routine smallpox vaccination for citziens, in any countries. Introduction of the vaccine is done - like in this picture -only by the bifurcated needle, never as injection by syringe. Then the reaction leaves for life the characteristic circle form scars.

I found this perfect example of bad fonts at work... the Nasaline Junior packaging, which uses not just Comic Sans (or Chalkboard, as Allan pointed out... something similar), but Mistral as well! I just had to post it for my friend David, who shares an interest in these sorts of things.
Oh, and the illustration of the evil freckled demon-child shoving a nasal irrigation syringe up his nose is also of interest, I think.

So what do you do with an empty one?
Fill it with lubricant and use it to place a drop with precision where you want it - but don't jab yourself!

Using a small plastic fishtank with black background, flash above (yong nuo triggers) with 2 x 500w work lamps at the corners. Get fresh cream, add food colours/dyes, get a small syringe and you are set. Shutter sync max speed of 1/200s, ISO100 and variable aperture (ETTR) and see what happens. Side lighting really helps showing 3D objects
A lot of Lightroom manipulation especially changing hue/saturation and luminance.
Simple cleanup but need to do it regularly as the water gets pretty dirty quickly.
Improvements
-:short/sharp quirts and shots quickly => need to shoot at the same time as pushing the syringe.
- stronger colours... have bought Liquidex inks which are intense but cleanup will be tricky ie not in the kitchen sink
- thinner syringe ie with thick needle might also be better
- better angle for side lighting as the shot was dark underneath.
