Mr. Syed Shah Nasir Khisro, Executive Director IRSP Pakistan is elected as national convener of FAN-Pakistan. Before formally taking charge he said that
“With the empowerment of community and civil society water and sanitation sector will be promoted in Pakistan”.
This forum in his charge will collaborate with other networks to achieve the objectives and mission of the network.
We required facilitation and support from WASH sector experts to capacitate us in this field.

"If you look carefully you may be able to make out the Traidcraft logo on the shirt of the producer on the left! He is Syed Ali from the village of Loskar Dighirpak. Syed is "Cashier" (i.e. Treasurer) of one of the 150 self help groups that have Been formed in the past 18 months as part of the Golden Fibre Project.
That means over 4,000 smallholder jute growers are benefiting from the strength of learning to work together, run a credit union and get access to agricultural and business advice. How did Syed think the project could be improved? ...Find ways of helping them replicate groups so many more farmers can experience the same benefits!"

Gravestone of Syed Zameer Jafari famous for his poetic humour. A retired Army Officer and a veteran soldier who fought during 2nd World War. A renowned writer and poet in literary circles. The grave is located in a tomb just beside GT Road near Mandra, a town on the outskirts of Rawalpindi.
