Earth Hour 2012, Brunei.
note: Took this shot during Earth hour earlier tonight. Didn't quite turn out the way i planned it. Trying to do a light painting of the planet earth is harder than i thought.
This may sound a bit odd, but I find standing in the dark in the middle of the field somewhat calming... (although also a bit creepy)

Hands up who remembers 'Why Don't You?' It was a British kids TV show that, I was surprised to learn, ran up until 1995 (as i thought it had finished in the 80's!) Anyway it's not like i remember it particularly fondly but one thing i do remember was the theme song which went 'Why don't you just switch off the television set and go do something less boring instead' which even when i was a kid found slightly stupid considering the fact that it was a TV show and it was advocating turning off the TV. I used to follow this advice quite literally and take this as my cue to either get my breakfast or just get out of the house and see what trouble i could get into...
Like it says - there's never anything good on anyway!

It is a billboard put up at India Gate, (venue for launch of earth hour in Delhi) on 27th March. It was lit up by whatever light it was getting from the candles.
It has the picture of Abhishek Bachchan, a prominent actor in Bollywood, in the capacity of brand ambassodar for Earth Hour on behalf of WWF, India.
ABV2 and SBS28 still going. Typical- even in the shut-off, the two government-subsidised networks hang-on longer than they should!
