Weekday Homily: the Visitation 05/31/22

Every Monday, and Saturday, for those who pray the Rosary, we get a chance to ponder and reflect on Today’s feast: The visitation.

What have we learned and heard over the years, about this special and blessed event? Our Gospel reading, gives us the vastness of our Salvation history…and I get to dip my heart and soul in the vastness of this mystery every evening in the Liturgy of the Hours.

In praying the Rosary, We do the same thing.

How I wish everyone, who claims to be a Christian, would dip themselves in these points of our Salvation story. For if you dip…you are pulled into and participate fully in this unfolding plan.

Our awareness of this participation is overwhelming. I say overwhelming…because we desire to spread this experience to the world.

Is this not the same spirit that drove Mary to Elizabeth?

Is this not the same Spirit that pulls you each day to meet Jesus in the Eucharist?

22 October 2016: Water swirls around Wyandot Falls in Ricketts Glen State Park, Pennsylvania.

A four second exposure shows water swirling at the base of the falls. I took several photos of this waterfall and the swirl pattern was different in each. This was one of my favorites.

Observing the swirls on the water surface is fascinating! if we delve into the details, then we discover a magnificent world where all the Laws of Life are collected!

The Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge (one of several in Maine). This spot the ocean makes a marsh tidal zone, and here the tide was coming back in ... swirling past the jetty.

Swirling in the cave entrance... Viktorya’s gaze lingered for a moment on someone who wasn’t really there 🍃

Or maybe it was she who wasn’t really there...

This was quite a stormy day on the Moray Firth. A Northerly had kicked in and whipped up the sea nicely. It was obvious sunset wasn't going to happen so I headed out a little earlier whilst there was still a bit of light about and ended up having quite a successful little photo walk along the coastline to the west of Portknockie in Morayshire, Scotland.
