Am I loud and clear, or am I breaking up?
Am I still your charm, or am I just bad luck?
Are we getting closer, or are we just getting more lost?
I'll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars, I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words
We live on front porches and swing life away
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand
I've been here so long, I think that it's time to move
The winters so cold, summers over too soon
Let's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow
I've got some friends, some that I hardly know
But we've had some times, I wouldn't trade for the world
We chase these days down with talks of the places that we will go
Get a taxi to Hazardous

Young people have been jumping into the waters below from this tree swing. Shot with the Olympus E-M1 at Lake Whitingham in Wilmingon, Vermont.
At high tide, this swing would be over or very close to the waterline. It's always a great sight to see along the coastlines.
something different for me.

Explored, thx for the interest and acknowledgement! :)
I was looking in the opposite direction before turning to catch this light. My focus of attention was toward the ocean and in the other direction but this turned out to be a much more dynamic image. Like a searchlight or a Lighthouse, the sun's rays shone for a brief moment off the windows of a Vancouver building. All that was necessary was to swing about to catch the brief moment of reflected light and the color combinations surrounding the streak.
Nice place for a swing. The Tilligerry Habitat along Tanilba Bay foreshore. Wouldn't want to fall off, that sand flat doesn't look too inviting to land on.
Fun fact - A mosquito has 47 teeth, located at the end of their proboscis. They use them to cut through our skin or layers of protective clothes. No wonder a mozzy bite stings hey !
"The Swing Bridge is a swing bridge over the River Tyne, England, connecting Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead, and lying between the Tyne Bridge and the High Level Bridge. It is a Grade II* listed structure." (Wikipedia)
I spent some hours (and a night) in Newcastle upon Tyne before my flight went the next morning. And of course I had to revisit the bridges. Last time I was here was in 2005 but it's astonishing how much I remembered.
Overlooked by Ben Nevis, at the bottom of Neptune's Staircase, is the Banavie Swing Bridge. Did you know in the ancient past many countries used swings in ritualized ceremonies for religious, and magical rites? I don’t think my hedgehog is using his that way - he looks like he’s just having fun!

This American Avocet crouched down and swung its beak back and forth just under the surface of the water, stirring up morsels to eat.
Good Morning Flickr Friends, here is my first image from my new home and land. After unpacking and setting up home, I managed to get out on my golf buggy and go inspect the land I have just bought. My husband and Son put up a new swing on an old oak tree in our woodland. I found the most delightful apple tree at the foot of my woodland, with a flourish of glorious red apples ripe for picking in November. Apple Pie is on the menu today. So I took a beautiful image of the new swing and juicy red apple to welcome you to the Adventures of 'Long Acre Manor'. This morning I awoke to an owl hooting and have fed the hedgehogs and I saw a quick but fleeting glimpse of Muntjack deer grazing.... Happy Friday ~ KissThePixel2018
