Something about three-day weekends ... gotta fit in as much activity as possible. Went with friends and Max (poor little Madi came down with a nasty 24-hour tummy bug and stayed with grandma and grandpa) to Eltiches in Denver. Max had a great time riding all the rides ... even the Mind Eraser. This one is worth viewing large.

The interiors of the Natural History Museum are impressive enough, but these gibbon guys swinging about in the rafters amused me no end.

A panorama of the swing bridge in Newcastle upon Tyne on a pleasant and warmish November day, as long as you wore a jumper and a coat that is. I took a series of photographs just before the sun set and I am really quite pleased with the result.
So I decided to get on the ride and try for some fun motion blurs. I had forgotten how hard it is on your equilibrium to look through a super-wide lens while spinning in a big circle...and it only got worse after I took my eye away from the viewfinder. I am a glutton for punishment though...I went a second time and was sweating bullets by the end.

I was trying to stay out of the way a little bit today.
My wife had a couple of training sessions she had to run and the neighbours builder were in the front garden so not a very relaxed space for me.
I decided to have a look around a few charity shops and didn't really find anything. In all truth i am waiting for one to reopen. I then went to the next big town and had a walk along the river as you know. I discovered this home made swing in a tree and just had to take a photo. I honestly thought it was going to snap the branch when i got on it. It didn't so no broken bones.
I had a nice afternoon in the sun. Add to that I have two interviews in the pipeline things might just be looking up.
