After switching the Weyerhaeuser’s Santiam Lumber mill at Waterloo south of Lebanon, Oregon, an Albany & Eastern train heads back to Lebanon on the AERC’s Sweet Home branch on September 26, 2016. The train is powered by two GE B40-8s—No. 1807 (ex-Southern Pacific) and No. 1841 (former Cotton Belt) trailing. This branch is a former Oregon Electric line, later operated by BN and sold to AERC by BNSF.

I did not hear this fellow and only glanced through the thicket to see that he was indeed watching me. Love how those spectacular ears are so sensitive and precise to hear from such great distances...a mother nature defence for sure !

A tired little Dragon. Cleo and Fynn are always kind of relieved when he finally falls asleep because he can be a little pest sometimes. I have to mention, though, that he was a very good Dragon today. My sister had a problem with Filou who had had a panic attack in the morning and then hid behind the sofa. He stayed there for hours and didn't want to come out. I took the Dragon with me when I went to my sister's We could see Filou peeking out from behind the sofa but he clearly didn't want to leave his hideout. The Dragon went straight to him, purred and softly touched Filou's face with his paw. It was interesting to see because the Dragon is usually such a wild kitten. His presence seemed to calm Filou and after about 10 minutes he really decided that it was safe to show himself again.
