The Matterhorn , the Symbol of Switzerland. Winter paradise the famous Gornergrat.
The Matterhorn (German), Monte Cervino (Italian) or Mont Cervin (French), is a mountain in the Pennine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Its summit is 4,478 meters (14,690 ft) high, making it one of the highest peaks in the Alps. The four steep faces, rising above the surrounding glaciers, face the four compass points. The mountain overlooks the town of Zermatt in the canton of Valais to the north-east and Breuil-Cervinia in the Aosta Valley to the south. The Theodul Pass, located at the eastern base of the peak, is the lowest passage between its north and south side.
Le Cervin (Cervino en italien, Matterhorn en allemand) est un sommet alpin de 4 478 mètres d'altitude, situé sur la frontière italo-suisse, entre le canton du Valais et la vallée d'Aoste.
Le Cervin est la montagne la plus connue de Suisse, notamment pour l'aspect pyramidal qu'elle offre depuis le village de Zermatt, dans la partie alémanique du canton du Valais.
L'ascension de la face nord fut considérée comme le dernier des grands exploits de l'alpinisme dans les Alpes, avec celle de l'Eiger et celle des Grandes Jorasses qui forment ensemble les trois grandes faces nord des Alpes..

Pasticceria Lamarmora - Palazzina liberty
Sede dell' "Offelleria svizzera" di Piazza Lamarmora.
Il palazzo, costruito verso la fine dell'Ottocento, accoglieva il visitatore con la spettacolare facciata di originale gusto liberty tra mediterraneo e mitteleuropeo.
L'affresco, con la collaborazione di famose marche di dolciumi e liquori (alcune ancora esistenti), fu dipinto nel 1904 - l'autore è ignoto - ed è stato ripristinato nel 2004 a cura del Centro del Restauro di Cagliari.

Headquarters of the "Swiss Offelleria" in Piazza Lamarmora.
The palace, built towards the end of the nineteenth century, welcomed the visitor with the spectacular facade of the original liberty style between the Mediterranean and Central European.
The fresco, with the collaboration of famous brands of sweets and liqueurs (some still existing), was painted in 1904 - the author is unknown - and was restored in 2004 by the Centro del Restauro of Cagliari.

The Val Bregaglia is an alpine valley of Switzerland and Italy at the base of which runs the river Mera. The local dialect is a variety of Lombard with similarities to neighboring dialects of Romansh. The Bregaglia Range is a popular mountaineering destination, and includes such peaks as Monte Disgrazia, Piz Cengalo and Piz Badile.

Die bunte Pepsi loc der SBB (460 018) hatte am 26. Juli 1998 vor eine Viertelstunde Interlaken verlassen um mit IC 929 nach St. Gallen zu fahren. Im Bild hat der Zug gerade Bahnhof Faulensee durchfahren.
De kleurrijke Pepsi loc van de SBB (460 018) reed op 26 juli 1998 met Intercity 929 van Interlaken Ost naar St. Gallen en heeft op de foto net het dorpje Faulensee achter zich gelaten.
