This is Sutton Scarsdale Hall in Derbyshire.
This is a a Grade 1 listed Georgian ruined stately home.
My Mum took me here yesterday, and I instantly knew this is the right location for my 'shoot' with Tim Shilton tomorrow.

One of the most famous Green Men in Britain, found below the respond at west end of the south aisle. Hawthorn leaves and berries, the latter being eaten by three birds. Late C13 or early C14 : detail
King's Sutton's church of SS Peter & Paul features one of the loveliest spires in the county, a wonderfully elegant late medieval steeple adorned with pinnacles and flying buttresses at it's base. It is a superb landmark, visible for miles around.
The church below it is a largely 14th century structure consisting of nave with aisles and chancel. The interior of the nave is quite spacious, with it's aisles almost as wide as it is long; the chancel has been somewhat restored, judging by the neo-Norman wall arcading though parts of the present building date back to the 12th century, such as the transitional south nave arcade and the large, plain and rough-hewn font.
The furnishings are mostly Victorian, including the stained glass (east window by Wailes, another in the south aisle by Preedy). The chief item of interest is the fascinating sculpted plaster monument by John Bacon Jnr on the south chancel wall, showing a resurrected Christ (attended by an angel) triumphant over the shrouded skeleton figure of Death, whose rib-cage yawns open hideously.
Suttons Bay is a picturesque little village in Michigan's Leelanau County. The village was incorporated in 1898 and in 2000 had a population of 589.

Hercules Revived pub, Sutton Cheney, Leicestershire - It is an old coaching inn and parts of it have history from the 17c. It was named after the prizewinning horse Hercules owned by the Dixie family of Market Bosworth in the 18c . A ghost that haunts the dining room is said to be that of Mary McDonagh, who had had her hands cut off for stealing brandy at the pub. When she manifests, she is wearing a white mopcap

Church of St Michael, Sutton, Herefordshire, was a former parish church,of a now deserted medieval village, until the parishes of Sutton St Michael and Sutton St Nicholas were united in 1876
The Domeday survey records it as one of the holdings of Nigel the Physician, doctor to the king. previously it was listed as under Spirites the Priest;
It consists of a 12c two-bay nave, two-bay chancel, 17c timber bell turret with 2 bells dated 1669 & 20c west porch.
Some of the small original lancet windows have been enlarged in 13c & 14c.
The c1140 tub-shaped font with 4 lions at the base has survived , www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/YFS849 possibly by the same mason who carved the lion font in Hereford Cathedral.
At the west end of the south wall of the nave, is a monument with the reclining cadaver of Elizabeth Simon 1643 wife of George Cotton - sadly I have no picture of this. .
All restored c1865 and 1909, it is now supported by the Herefordshire Historic Churches Trust. It can still be used for weddings seating 40 people
A Large circular shield, with a central boss, mounted with granets and with die-pressed plaques of interlaced animal ornament. The shield front displayed two large emblems with garnet settings, one a composite metal predatory bird and the other a flying dragon.
