My mom said this looks like a gaint chrysanthamum. It's incredible how the sun illuminates the petals, how the petals capture the light and refract many hues of glowing yellow. I'm really hoping the autumn chills don't ruin my hopes for collecting seeds to plant next year. The plant itself is a couple feet short of what the company packet said it should be, but the main blossom is the right size.
