Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, also known as DJ Cuppy, performs at the SDG Moment 2024 - Driving Just Transitions for SDG Acceleration event.

The SDG Moment is an event held during the UN General Assembly high-level week with the intention to bring into focus the promise of inclusion, resilience and sustainability embedded in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in times of crisis. At the SDG Summit in September 2023, world leaders agreed to urgently step up their efforts to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our global roadmap out of crises. To keep up the momentum at a time of cascading crises, political division and competing priorities, the Secretary-General convened the 2024 SDG Moment in the context of the general debate of the seventy-ninth session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting consisted of an inspiring opening session, a deep dive on the state of SDG progress, a panel discussion of world leaders on just and inclusive transitions, a closing intergenerational dialogue and a musical performance. The meeting also included a focused discussion with a small number of invited world leaders.
