The event the New York Times described as “One of the top ten holiday happenings in the nation” was held for its 110th year in Newport Harbour on Wednesday, December 14th through the 18th, 2022.
The 114th Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade took place over five spectacular nights from December 14 to 18, 2022, in Newport Beach, California, USA. For over a century, more than 150 beautifully decorated yachts and boats of various sizes have participated in the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and lit up Newport Beach nightly. For five nights, we have enjoyed the parade in a variety of exciting ways, including a family-friendly event on the sand, by boat, or from the shore.
RING OF LIGHTS:
Homes along the Christmas Boat Parade route competed in a ‘Ring of Lights’ decorating contest, with each home displaying its own extravagantly themed decorations. The Ring of Lights has become as popular as the boat parade itself, with lights on every façade, roof-top animated scenes, and dancing Christmas trees. Visitors could view the homes by walking around Newport Beach waterfront neighbourhoods like Balboa Island and Balboa Village or by boat charter or boat rental.
FIREWORKS:
On opening night, the parade featured an exhilarating firework display from the Newport Pier, and on closing night, it featured an exhilarating firework display from the Balboa Pier.

Today, we come to our final component of a vibrant and safe classroom! Last but not least, we have: Students, of course! 👧👦 Students bring the classroom to life, as they fill the space with questions, discovery, and growth! When they are in class, they have a better chance of unlocking opportunity and releasing the potential within them, as they build both their knowledge and their character. And when students miss out on education to work in the fields or to take care of the home, their future is compromised. That’s why we fight against dropout and work to ensure that students are in the classroom—learning with their friends, diving into lessons, and being empowered by their teachers and parents. Students are an essential and integral component of a vibrant classroom. That’s why we invest in them day after day! #qualityeducation #rwanda #teachers #school #children #students #leaders #education #learning #community #communitydevelopment #ABCD #sustainabledevelopmentgoals #goal4

During a 3-day symposium, ESCP Europe Master in Management students had the chance to work on their individual career plans.
50 professionals from business and civil society helped the students to discover their strengths and motivation, to reflect on personal, entrepreneurial and societal goals, and to work on concrete next steps for successful life planning.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the United Nations were the core of this year's event. In workshops, the students came up with ideas on how to reach the 17 Global Goals by 2030 and reflect on their personal impact.

The provision of water to Mutsamudu is the responsibility of the municipality and the L'Union des comités d'eau d'Anjouan (UCEA) – a federation of community water users. Tariffs are charged for the piping of water from the river to consumers, but many people are reluctant to pay the tariff because they are dissatisfied with the quality and supply of water. However, the failure by residents to pay for piped water limits the ability of the service provider to invest in infrastructure and improve the quality and quantity of water it delivers, a situation that leaves the population frustrated and vulnerable to disease.
