The demonstration project is also providing technical assistance to protect the reservoir on the Mutsamudu River. The reservoir area is surrounded by small-scale farmers whose traditional farming methods have resulted in a high degree of soil erosion from wind and rain, causing siltation and blocking of the municipality’s water infrastructure and degradation of the Mutsamudu River. In response to this problem, the project is working with the farmers, demonstrating the impact of their practices on the environment and water quality, and introducing techniques that make cultivation easier, increase yields and also protect natural resources, particularly soil and water.

The event the New York Times described as “One of the top ten holiday happenings in the nation” was held for its 110th year in Newport Harbour on Wednesday, December 14th through the 18th, 2022.
The 114th Annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade took place over five spectacular nights from December 14 to 18, 2022, in Newport Beach, California, USA. For over a century, more than 150 beautifully decorated yachts and boats of various sizes have participated in the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and lit up Newport Beach nightly. For five nights, we have enjoyed the parade in a variety of exciting ways, including a family-friendly event on the sand, by boat, or from the shore.
RING OF LIGHTS:
Homes along the Christmas Boat Parade route competed in a ‘Ring of Lights’ decorating contest, with each home displaying its own extravagantly themed decorations. The Ring of Lights has become as popular as the boat parade itself, with lights on every façade, roof-top animated scenes, and dancing Christmas trees. Visitors could view the homes by walking around Newport Beach waterfront neighbourhoods like Balboa Island and Balboa Village or by boat charter or boat rental.
FIREWORKS:
On opening night, the parade featured an exhilarating firework display from the Newport Pier, and on closing night, it featured an exhilarating firework display from the Balboa Pier.

With a total area of 1 862 km2, Comoros is the third-smallest nation in Africa. It is also among the least developed countries in the world, with about half of the population living below the poverty line. Over 80 percent Comorans are dependent on agriculture and fishing for their livelihoods. Staple crops are bananas, cassava, and taro, while cloves, ylang-ylang and vanilla are grown for export.
