this curious Black-backed jackal came out of the bushes in the early morning, crossed the road in front of us and instead of running away walked right up to our car and looked us over a few times, posed for many photos and finally went on his way in a slow trot....the first time I've actually experienced a wild animal come up to us without being nervous, he looked in excellent condition too!

As the sun was going down, Jaspyr posed, prettily, on the rocks at the side of the hay shed.

Three guys decided to do some 'film noir' photography. We consulted the media and...Winchester Double-take Detective Agency was born. Double-take because mostly one detective was in action while two were recording the scene.

Dans une partie de la forêt connue sous le nom de "Green Belt" qui ceinture le sud de la capitale nationale jusqu'à la rivière, une famille de chouette rayée s'occupe de sa progéniture. Ce bébé, à peine 3 jours hors du nid est sous haute surveillance de la part de papa et maman que je vous présenterai sous peu.
Un grand merci à mon ami Fan Song, un passionné des oiseaux dont la générosité est sans limites.
Somewhere in the Ottawa Green Belt a Barred Owl family is busy nurturing its progeny. Here is baby "one". Three days out of the nest, he is under the watchful eyes of Mom and Dad.
