I had no idea this park exists. I was out driving home from an appointment and passed by the entrance to this park right in the middle of a busy city. Out of curiosity I decided to pull in and go for a wander.
Chipstead in Surrey heading towards Merstham, its been a beautiful day in the early 20s and the sunset rounded it off. Driving to get provisions a slight detour down a country lane and here we are! A short journey away from London but scenes like this all around, very perfect.

Surrey Wildlife trust rangers and volunteers manage this heathland keeping it in check. If Surrey County council continue with their plan to cut funding to the trust all 16 rangers will lose there jobs. Please take a moment to sign this petition
This old surrey school is about to be pulled down for houses but I thought I would have a wander around before it was demolished. A spooky experience especially as the interior has been severely trashed and I definitely heard rustlings in the building, probably an animal but who knows!

Everyone's excited about the idea of electric driverless vehicles lately. In Vancouver, we've had electric driverless vehicles for 32 years. I just rode one to New West to have a few drinks with the tech crowd I hang with out here.

Sky and/or Horizon .
I did get a couple of shots last weekend , but I was not over impressed with them . However , this morning the sun did appear for a while after hiding behind grey cloud all week so a quick stop off at the top of Bocketts Farm Park to catch this view with the high cloud spreading across the otherwise blue sky ( it is all grey again as Darragh arrives ! ) .
Literally just off shot to the right beyond the boundaries of Bocketts is Surrey Hills AONB National Landscape which stretches for miles across Surrey .
Over the next week or two I will post the other couple of shots I had in the wings .
The clouds are probably not that high , but " Stratosphere " sounds like a sight & sound for this week .
