Sure, it's cool looking...but what IS it??

A couple of the Wrangell Range peaks rising majestically above Willow Lake.

Mt Drum (12,010 ft; 3,660 m) and Mt. Sanford (16,237 ft; 4,949 m) are both volcanoes, fortunately slumbering at this time. First time I drove thru here I could barely see the lake, with the heavy rains. Didn't know what I was missing. Sure glad I had a chance to see them on my return.

Happy Friday!

Not sure about posting this, similar to previous shots

Having said that we will probably visit this beach in Florida at least once a year, to visit our grand daughter Adeline

Therefore cannot promise it will be the last, but the sky will be different

Not sure what this small colourful bloom is.. on a shrub.. EDIT: I just saw it on Flickr.. it is a type of 'Shrub Verbenas'.. ' Lantana'..

HBW.. Have a great day.. thanks for stopping by

I am sure, you have met today some people with hanging head and corners of their mouths. But what will happen when they notice what is on infront of their doors? You have only to do one thing: Open your eyes and your heart.

Have a nice evening!

**** I am pretty sure this is a Male Reed Bunting . They are about the same size as a sparrow and quite attractive birds. This was taken On Midsummers day 2018 in the trees that lead to the cliffs at RSPB Bempton in East Yorkshire

THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH.

ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED

Another sure sign that spring is right around the corner is that the tree outside of where we live is just starting to show signs of its budding leaves. Taken on a cloudy day, this was snapped from a second floor balcony, shooting down toward the ground cover and sidewalk below, thus giving the background a bit of a different look to it.

I'm sure anyone who's ever been to Scotland has seen a picture of this mountain - it's in practically every tourist shop on postcards etc. Unfortunately I didn't have the time or the weather to really wait for the light so this is the best I could do.

Esch-sur-Sûre is located in NW Luxembourg and topped by its medieval castle (in ruins) . It is located on the river Sûre

If you be the cash

I'll be the rubber band

You be the match

I will be a fuse, boom

Painter, baby, you could be the muse

I'm the reporter, baby, you could be the news

'Cause you're the cigarette and I'm the smoker

We raise a bet 'cause you're the joker

Checked off, you are the chalk

And I can be the blackboard

You can be the talk

And I can be the walk

I don't know what this Red-necked Grebe is transporting, it almost looks like a dirty net of some kind, but it ends up part of the grebe's nest. Makes sense!

Thought I'd give the ole 2X tele a try with the 600 and the new R5. I was curious to see how that combination works together and I think it looks great! What do you think?

Taken 14 June 2021 in Anchorage, Alaska.

Not really sure what this is called. I am pet sitting over at a friends house and she has this in a pot on her back patio.

It's raining again..While at her place and watching the rain come down, it occurred that I had my windows up at my place. So, I rushed home and luckily, the rain hasn't blown into the apartment. Phew! I really thought we were done with the rain for a while. I even washed my car..:))

Be sure to zoom in on this photo. I took this picture of the pond behind our house. The actual frame included the opposite shore and the water is reflecting the forest that rises above it. I noticed an unusual quality in the texture of the water and zoomed in to produce this photo. I hope you enjoy the final effect.

for sure it is good to focus on what you want ... but it can be very helpful to take a playful look on the world from a different perspective. 😉

Location: Nelipot

It sure was trying to get every little crumb of that Brioche:-)

Having sunset outing with the Twins was fun!

Not sure how this suddenly got an explore, but thank you. Before anyone feels the need to point it out it's a composite of two images.

I'm sure many would be sitting on a bench here and think along with 'The Thinker'

For me it's a paradise with all that nature all around...

well decorated and thought over, by Una & Bo.

An amazing sim to explore ..... and be sure.....

every time you go back... you discover new hidden corners.

Some History:

Rodin's The Thinker was originally part of The Gates of Hell which was completed on commission in 1882. What became known as The Thinker was originally intended to represent the poet Dante as he contemplated writing The Divine Comedy, on which The Gates of Hell was based.

Not sure if this is a wild rose, but whatever, it's pretty.

Managed a very short walk over the road late this afternoon. Not great weather for photos, very dull and far too windy.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :)

There sure are some nice little flowerbeds in my brother-in-law's manufactured home complex, this one caught my eye as I wandered around after dinner.

Nuthatches Shall usually dominate the field whenever present at feeding stations. Maybe not a coconut, but every other nut can be cracked with this beak. Awesome bird!

Sure seen allot of pelicans in Florida. Started to head for home and one of my crowns in my mouth came off. We made it just in GA and I finally found a dentist tha would see me in the am and hopefully they can just cement it back on.

😜

Thankyou in advance for your support, faves, comments and awards!

I do appreciate you all ❤️

Not sure what type of bee this is or the plant it was on, but I did smile when I saw it's little leg as if rubbing it's aching back with all the work! Have a great weekend you lovely folks out there! HSoS

She sure is smiling down upon this lovely sim.

I invite you to visit Longing Melody and all of it's beauty and secrets. Apparently there is a Fool on The Hill, but I didn't see him....her?

Here's your TP

Not sure what to make of this. I got the AF completely wrong, but captured the only person looking right, not left. It is what it is. Hey ho!

I was sure glad to see this tough little opossum survived the brutal winter season, even if it did lose part of its tail from frostbite. Here it is drinking water in the middle of the day from a little puddle in the road where some snow and ice is finally melting. Today we topped out at 33 F, the first day above freezing since February 4th.

Not sure what type of Lemur ...a ruffed red ,black & white or mongrel ?? I found this guy at the lemur section in the Cotswold Wildlife Park. Like most lemurs he didn`t keep still for long . Just enough time for me to capture his powerful stare .

Not sure what the food is - something white that was floating on the surface of the water. Hope it wasn't bread - people are asked not to feed bread to the water fowl.

An interesting position this Bald Eagle takes in the air as if a bit curious about what it sees below, i.e. trying to decide what it's going to do next.

Taken 19 February 2020 near Homer, Alaska.

I wasn't sure if I would get a clear shot of the castle from the top. I wondered if it might have been a drone shot I had seen before and not one taken from the top of the mountain that stands behind the castle. So I was on the third peak by the time I saw this view after a pretty arduous trek over the unbroken wilderness over the tops.

To the left is the estuary where the River Shiel flows out into the sea loch of Loch Moidart which then flows out into the Atlantic Ocean beyond. In the centre is the mid 13th century Castle Tioram on its own island (when the tide is in). Behind it is Eilean Shona, owned by Richard Branson's sister which has 11 luxury holiday rental cottages on it. eileanshona.com/ To the right of the castle is another island, the circular one called Riska. Above and beyond that on the far horizon you can see the tops of the Cuillin mountains in Skye.

Impressive view, eh? In my back yard! I decided I deserved a cold beer when I got home.

Hey, come to Scotland. It's only 16 deg C

Yeah sure thing , stab that dragon with your toothpick! XD At least he has some of that last hope in that katana.

I haven't used a dragon for quite a while now but finally dragging one of the beasties into a scene.

Special one here for Swagga's outfit for FGC!
