There is much giving and sharing and mutual support in nature, as exemplified by this image of a bird's nest in an Arizona cholla cactus. I composed the photograph while hiking in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona.
The bird most likely to build its nest in a cholla cactus is the Cactus Wren, which hapopens to be Arizona's State Bird. Seeking protection from predators, it is known for creating its nests within thorny cacti like cholla. Other desert dwellers, such as Curve-billed Thrashers, also use cholla for nesting.
This tiny little Blue Tit matching the flag of Ukraine.. he has something that our World "leaders" don't have... a spine.

Sometimes a little wing action is necessary to maintain control when casting for fish on Armand Bayou.
Today the helicopters involved in the firefighting effort were parked at the airport in a nice lineup. Cooler weather and some rain have brought relief. Fire now 68% contained.
Normally, there is very little activity at the airport, so when I saw them all 3 lined up like that, I literally stopped walking and said to Blanca "Wow!" and just had to go home and grab my camera for a shot!!

When I spotted these two women, a few metres away from me and walking in the opposite direction, I knew I only had a few seconds to adjust my exposure, my shutter, frame and release the shutter. I only had time for one shot. The photo was neither retouched nor cropped.
These are fairly rare moments, but for me they reflect that famous ‘instant’ that we look for behind attitudes, movements and situations.

My intended schedule may estimate about 1 month round trip self drive traveling down scenic Southern Island of New Zealand for completing the most captivating landscape photography and wander into the big five, the wilderness of untamed Africa nature for my project 2016 before my physical body stamina eventually drain off.

On the 30th April 2021 the 'HMS Prince of Wales' departs from Portsmouth for further training and trials. The 'SD Tempest' acts as the bow tug. 'SD Tempest' is a Damen ART 8032 class tug operated by Serco Marine Services ant was ordered specifically to handle the Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers.
