This big Common Buckeye caterpillar was looking pretty lonely in the wetland wildflowers eating gerardia buds. The meadow is usually full of Buckeye cats by now but the purple gerardia (one of our prettiest wildflowers) just started blooming. Yesterday at the wetlands, North Georgia
