China no longer ahead with supercomputers. Unless there are secret machines, as some claim.

I noticed a couple days ago they're putting up pre-built brick walls. I've never seen this type of construction before so this morning I went in for a closer look.

Brainwaves, our mini festival of brain, mind and consciousness, explored one of the most mysterious objects in the universe through a mind-blowing selection of stimulating encounters with our own personal supercomputers.

The Silverstone SST-1000w PSU installed. there is a filtered intake it sits over and it exhausts out the back. The case has filtered side air intakes and another at the front bottom of the case (also filtered). Two 180mm fans sit above the PSU area and they draw air into the main area of the case.

BEYOND THE SUPERCOMPUTER

Classical computing has changed the world with multiple revolutions in cloud, AI and Machine learning. But believe it or not, it’s reaching its peak. And so, the promise of Quantum technology is that it has the potential to truly help solve some of our greatest challenges - climate, supply chain shortages and inefficiencies, food insecurity, cyber vulnerabilities, and destabilization of economies. What will it take to really get there and how far are we anyway?

Prop supercomputer I made for a TV pilot starring Paul Scheer, 2003, Brooklyn, New York

Oops! The original PSU i tried was the Silverstone Strider 1000w but it was dead out of the box. There were none available to exchange for (in the time frame available) so i took the Corsair HX1000W and it works fine. It was a toss up of which of these 2 PSU's i would choose from the begining so despite the circumstances i am happy with this option.

"It's got a supercomputer inside it!" "No, there's a black hole." "No, that's where they keep the monkeys to write Shakespeare's works." "No, that's where they keep the monkeys who run the computer that keeps the black hole from getting out of control and swallowing the world."
