On a cold evening just as the sun was setting, I managed to get a shot of the distant cargo ships in the Burrard Inlet under sunset skies. Behind them can be seen Vancouver Island and some snow capped mountains.
It was a beautiful sunset evening and looking over the water below the mountains, I saw these geese enjoying their swim. The water was that colour on this evening, a pale mauve/pink from the sunset.
Whilst watching these folks trying to keep their kite up , Ray Lamantagne’s “Let’s make it last” came on my playlist, which was very apt ... even the sunset seemed to last a little longer than usual !!
The Eastern Sierra and the Owens Valley covered in fresh snow is a thing of beauty. This spot is located near the vista lookout on Highway 395. It's a great spot to watch the sunrise and drink your hot cocoa.
Fence around the beach on top of the sand dunes
With stunning skyline on our evening walk at Llandanwg beach.
Took this shot of an awesome sunset in Vancouver, BC last night while waiting at the bus stop on the way home. I liked the sunset reflections in the windows and the lights in the opposite one.
NB: No editing at all, just a small crop at the top.
I really couldn't resist sharing the second photo. The colours and the mood do have changed, you can see, right? So I told myself it's a completely different photo and the two are not the same 😅
I do miss enjoying the changing colour of the sunset skies. I remember capturing photos after photos as a kid - just in case I don't miss any moment - and creating a pile of them which later would make me regret as I couldn't choose which one to choose and which to erase. I had a pile of magical masterpiece moments but they all are dead with the old laptop.
The one who named the moment 'golden hour' was so right in doing so, it really is an hour so golden; and precious too.
(Shall I call this one 'golden enchantment'? ;))
PS. Today the sky had soft pink & violet clouds, but I didn't capture any photo. Simply spent some time enjoying them passing by fast and changing into more greyish blue, though not being able to get absorbed in the moment with the studies for tomorrow's regular tests in mind. Yet I was there, for I made a prayer yesterday, and I knew it was heard...
A quiet sunset over Taormina, where night gently steps in and the town begins to breathe. One of those travel moments that stays with you long after the journey ends.
The tide was almost at its max when taking this Shot.
The sun had gone down from the right, out of shot, leaving some super colours in the sky and the water of the River Adur.
