A striking glass skyscraper catching the last light of the evening sky. The sharp lines, shimmering reflections, and glowing sculpture in the foreground create a perfect blend of modern architecture and urban atmosphere.
Last night's spectacular sunset as reflected in the hood of my car. No special effects just a bump in color.

Sunset Reflections in Morong, Bataan – Family by the Sea
It was 5:43 pm on the Morong beach in Bataan, and we were already hanging out with my wife, our little girl, and a friend who’d been with us for the night. We’d brought our daughter out because we thought the fresh sea air, the soft sand, and the gentle waves might help her feel better after being sick. The sky was turning warm orange‑pink as the sun dipped, and the wet sand reflected that glow all around. The air was just right, the water warm enough for a quick dip, and we just relaxed, laughed a bit, and let the waves wash away the stress. It was a nice sunset that we shared with everyone there, and our little girl already seemed a little brighter.
Blue hour is one of my favourite times of the day to photograph. Without the harshness of the sun above the horizon the details in the clouds really come to the fore. Throw in some still water reflections and a bit of foreground interest and all the ingredients are there for a creative image. This is the Mersey Gateway Bridge spanning the River Mersey in Runcorn (or Widnes if you are from the darkside). The tips of the remains of the Mersey Flat wreck of the Beadale poke through the high tide river mersey.
A mesmerizing sunset captured at Koggala Beach, Sri Lanka, where the golden light of dusk paints the sky and sea in warm, glowing hues. The gentle waves shimmer under the fading sun, creating a serene and timeless coastal scene. This peaceful moment reflects the pure beauty of nature and the soothing charm of Sri Lanka’s southern shores.

Doe Run Lake

Sitting on the computer last night I realized that sunset had some serious potential when I looked out the back window and the sun was a massive orange muted ball just above the horizon. So off in the car I hopped shooting up to nearby Doe Run Lake in South Covington, Kentucky. As always I arrived to the show a little late but I enjoy shooting the after light of sunset rather than the sunset itself and there was plenty of light left to get some shots of the beautiful scene that greeted me when I arrived.
A stunning sunset over a body of water, with dramatic clouds and beautiful reflections. This breathtaking scene captures the serene and picturesque nature of the landscape.

This past Tuesday I shot up to my go-to sunset spot Doe Run Lake. Oddly it had only been my second trip up there this year as I had been going through a bit of a photography lull. Storms had pushed through earlier in the evening and I hoped there would be an sunset opportunity. Watching out my kitchen window it was looking more and more like I was going to get to do some shooting. I arrived to Doe Run about a half an hour early, parked close to the lake ramp and began playing on my phone and tuned in the Cincinnati Reds game. After about 15 minutes I began to think that it was going to be a dud and had turned on the car to leave. I gave it a few more minutes and as the clouds shifted it became evident I needed to get out my gear and set up. After my first spot I chose on a foot bridge had too much foliage covering the sky, I tried another spot below it. I definitely need to start planning these things out better, there was still too much foliage in my field of vision but made an adjustment and it wasn't long till sunset was hitting peak. I just loved the rays of light leading from the horizon! Wow! What a scene! And to think I almost bailed. What a close one that was!

The cenotaphs popularly called chhatris on the banks of River Betwa are the memorial cenotaphs of Bundela kings and their families. This is the only place where you would find the cenotaphs of Hindu kings. These mammoth tombs are typically built in a variation of tombs. Most of these cenotaphs are three storied and built in Panchayatan (five dimensions) style with peaks built in Nagar style of temple architecture.
Another one of nature's remarkable summer sky paintings as seen from Sauble Beach, Ontario, Canada.
