January 28th was my 16th birthday!
Spending the weekend in the city ;) should be fun.

I haven't had the best luck with birthdays.
But it always snows on my birthday.
Big, slow moving; graceful flakes. The kind of snow that looks beautiful as it falls, lightly blankets everything...
I think that my dog is even sick of me.
Ugh.
I'm finally on April vacation and all I can do is piss and moan because i'm all alone (hah that rhymes)
Oh well, at least Sunka is here.

Ham or gammon - both are called šunka in the Czech language. One type of ham is internationally known as Prague Ham - pražská šunka. It is brine cured, fully cooked and smoked, boneless ham. The other type is šunka od kosti
Beautiful St. Nicholas Church in the Old Town Square was completed in 1735. It replaced a parish church, mentioned in records dating back as early as 1273.
St. Nicholas is a Baroque church, decorated with sculptures by Antonín Braun. The interior design was inspired by the chapel of St. Louis-des-invalides in Paris. The delicate stucco decoration was executed by Bernardo Spinetti, and the frescos are by Peter Adam the Elder.
From 1870-1914 St. Nicholas became Russian Orthodox. Then, during the second World War, Czech army units were stationed here and artists were set to work restoring the church.
After the war, St. Nicholas was handed over to the Czech Hussite movement, with whom it remains today. It now serves as both a church and a magnificent venue for classical concerts.

Oof is all I can say...it was so hard focusing on it...oof...at least I have my Sunka (puppy) and Nimmy (kitty)..oo, and my new pony, Grace <3

Prague hams cooking at the winter market. They are sooooo good; I had the ham every day.
Old Town Square (Czech: Staroměstské náměstí) is a historic square in the Old Town quarter of Prague in the Czech Republic. Located between Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge, Prague's Old Town Square features various architectural styles including the gothic Týn Church and baroque St. Nicholas Church.
Minulou středu končilo zasvěcování prváků do vysokoškolského života, tak jim dali pořádně zabrat. Takhle museli cvičit po cestě z baru do klubu.
Jinak jsme ve středu byli na večeři s holčinama z Polska, co jsou tu také na Erasmu, dali jsme si Francesinhu, či tak nějak, typická portugalská prasárnička, něco trochu jako burgr, je to v chlebu maso, šunka, sýr, s dalším sýrem na vrchu, na tom volské oko a celé zalité nějakou spešl omáčkou (zalité rozuměj pořádně to v té omáčce plave) a jako příloha hranolky. kupa hranolek. jeden člověk tohle všechno prostě nemůže sníst.

Krekeri su super.
Sami ili u formi mini sendviča, šareni krekeri kako ih ja zovem, super su za neobavezna druženja ili čak kao starter za neku neformalniju večeru. Kombinacije su ograničene samo maštom, par predloga (na slici):
1. maslac, kiseli krastavac, šunka/pršuta
2. mocarela, bosiljak, kapar, crna maslina
3. list parmezana, inćun, zelena maslina
Uz aperitiv, možda martini - shaken, not stirred.
Ili, jednostavno, uz utakmicu i pivo.
