This was taken near the corner of 24th and Folsom, in the Mission District of San Francisco.
The man and the woman are each holding a bottle of Red Stripe beer, in case you wanted to know.

In early November 2015, I flew from New York to San Francisco to take a weekend street-photography workshop under the tutelage of Eric Kim. As you might expect, I took gazillions of photos; but not all of them were specifically associated with the workshop itself. On the way out to San Francisco, I took a bunch of pictures with my iPhone; and during the weekend, I took a number of photos that had little or nothing to do with street-photography per se.
I’ll upload the photos in dribs and drabs during the next several days, and let you decide which ones are sufficiently interesting to warrant a second look…

That's me on the left lens, fingers clutching the camera and wearing a yellow fleece (yes, a fleece. I think the temps dipped down into the 80s). I had NO IDEA how dirty and scratched up my sunglasses were! Amazing what you can see in photos that you wouldn't otherwise notice.

As a nod to the “modern world”, one of our Skeleton Men borrows and models a set of sunglasses.
The Skeleton Men are just one of the more than a thousand cultural groups that exist in Papua New Guinea.
After almost two hours of preparation, the men take great pleasure in posing in their zombie-like postures. This tribal tradition pre-dates any contact with the outside world, so their vacant faces and lumbering postures owe nothing to our Hallowe’en costumes or Hollywood depictions of walking dead.

Somehow I managed to get the focus wrong. However, makes still a nice image of Anna with the giant sunglasses. In the reflection you can see the Scheveningen boulevard and Kurhaus.
