U.S. wildfire smoke in our atmosphere makes the sun look red as it approaches the horizon.
All the same, it was a mainly sunny, warm day here at sea level.

I tried very hard to make this panorama work... Four photos merged at Photoshop. I stood very close to Horseshoe Falls, the tripod was on one of the cement pillar. I did not adjust level during these four shots, they were not totally aligned horizontally due to the angle... I may try to use my 11mm wider lens to get the panorama next time.

Elle est la plus éloignée de la côte et plus petite que Sainte-Marguerite, mais plus grande que Saint-Ferréol. Longue de 1 460 m et large de 400 m, elle se situe à 2,9 km au sud du cap de la Croisette, à Cannes, et est séparée de l'île Sainte-Marguerite par un étroit chenal dit : « plateau du Milieu ». Elle est boisée de pins maritimes et de superbes pins parasols.
L'île Saint-Honorat a une vocation monastique depuis 410 : on y trouve le monastère de Lérins. Son ancien monastère fortifié, situé dans la presqu'île dans le sud de l'île et visible de loin, domine directement la mer. L'île est occupée par une vingtaine de moines.
Île Saint-Honorat is one of the two Lérins islands located in the bay of Cannes, in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
It is furthest from the coast and smaller than Sainte-Marguerite, but larger than Saint-Ferréol. 1460 m long and 400 m wide, it is located 2.9 km south of the Croisette Cape, in Cannes, and is separated from the Sainte-Marguerite Island by a narrow channel called "Plateau du milieu ". It is wooded with maritime pines and beautiful umbrella pines.
The island Saint-Honorat has a monastic vocation since 410: there is the monastery of Lérins. Its former fortified monastery, located in the peninsula in the south of the island and visible from afar, directly overlooks the sea. The island is occupied by about twenty monks.

I know it's just leaves, but we have had such cold, rainy weather here in North Central Massachusetts that it was SO great to see the sun and little leaves finally breaking out of their buds.
