Sunset. Fossil dunes are hardened sand dunes shaped uniquely by desert wind . Though it looks hard these are breakable sandstones which changes its shapes very slowly unlike normal sand dunes. Normal sand dunes moves and changes shapes frequently according to wind.
A hoodoo (also called a tent rock, fairy chimney, or earth pyramid ) is a tall, thin spire of rock that protrudes in the desert in dry, hot areas.
Nothing much to say here. Just seat back and enjoy the daily magnificent sunsets in the legendary Aegean Greek Island of Mykonos.

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky. -

Beautiful summer sunset at the Northern shore of Westray, orkney isles. I just love the ruggedness of the terrain and the rock formations leading into the sea.
Good Night everyone :)
Some sunsets are so beautiful, but they fade quicker than roses, so I've tried to make this sunset last a little longer ;-)
Of course the coast has spectacular sunsets, the sun dipping down into the sound is likely a sight I wont soon forget. I knew I wanted a good sunset, though when I had originally considered the idea I had wanted to do a sunset at one of the lighthouses. Those plans fell apart, so I headed back to Corolla, and wandered down towards the docks.. There was a bit of a party taking place there, so I meandered my way around to get out of the way, and here we have it. A lovely shot into Currituck Sound, gentle reflections, clouds rolling through the sky, the long exposure hiding some of the people.

Mount Canigó (Canigou in French) is our "sacred" mountain. Every year the summer solstice fire is light at the top of the mountain and brought back to the plain, where it then goes to towns in villages around Catalonia (both French and Spanish) and to other regions, including Belgium. It is a majestic, star-shaped mountain that overlooks the plain and the sea, and can be seen from virtually everywhere in the region (and even from Marseille, which is 300 km from here, thanks to an optical phenomenon... I'm telling you, it has magical powers!). You can never be used to its beauty, there is always a moment when you catch sight of it and your breath is taken away. It is particularly magnificent in winter, when it is covered in snow; the light of the rising sun paints it a soft pink, and sunsets become truly magical, wherever you watch them from.
