The sunset wasn't much and then all of a sudden these rays appeared on the horizon. SOOC

We had a spectacular sunset last night after the storm passed. We had 8 1/2 inches of rain here in NE Texas over the last 3-4 days and it was starting to clear. Luckily all the really severe weather went well north and east of us. My heart goes out to all those in Nebraska and Oklahoma who are suffering from the disaster of the tornadoes caused by this same storm.

A shot taken on North Stainmore in Cumbria.

I found this wonderful image while walking around sunset in Stainmore. It was very icy and cold, but I hung around long enough to capture this - which looked better out of the camera than it had on the screen.

Sorry for my hiatus on here over the last 8 or 9 months. Sometimes its nice to just focus on life - that hasnt stopped me taking images, and I have a few reasonable ones from the past year.

Ja, ich mache das am liebsten, weil es mir Spaß macht und immer wieder eine Herausforderung für den Fotografen darstellt. Meistens fotografiere ich eine Belichtungsreihe und entwickle diese mit Photomatix. Auf diese Art und Weise gibt es keine zu hellen "ausgefressenen" Bildpartien und auch keine "abgesoffenen" dunklen Bildpartien. Möglichst so darstellen, wie es im Moment der Aufnahme real ausgesehen hat.

Yes, I love doing that because it's fun and always presents a challenge for the photographer. I usually shoot a series of exposures and develop them with Photomatix. This way, there are no overexposed or underexposed areas, and no crushed or crushed areas. The goal is to depict the scene as accurately as possible, just as it appeared at the moment the photo was taken.

Taken during sunset at Bosham harbour, West Sussex. Sitting on a Quay side on a warm summers night waiting for the sun to go down whilst the tide gently rolls in. It's so tempting to start singing a certain Otis Redding song.

While the sun was slowly setting, a bulk cloud came up and partially blocked the sun rays, dividing them into two parts and creating this harmonious rainbow mood.

(I applied some touches to get that artistic feel).

Love love the Sunsets here in Arizona. Every night it's so beautiful.

Nick and I went up to Mt. Lemon to watch the sunset and take pictures. so much fun. <3 Nick's like "take my picture" and then yeah I'm like "it turned out great!" LOL. I did get a few where you can see his face but I really like this one with the sunflare.
