“What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.”
- Chief Crowfoot - 1821 -1890
The tree grew dim in the setting sun, yet wonderous color played in last of the suns rays. And so each day of our life passes into another. Days that are filled with multitudinous and myriad little wonders of life.
Not much of a sunset last night, but still a few nice colors.

A magic sunset over my local Gold Coast lake.
Again revisiting some of my older unprocessed raw files with new conversion software. A vertical version can be seen here.

Other than winning money at the casino on the boat, my favorite moment is watching the sunset at the horizon. It's like if the sun was going under water.
Three shot HDR taken during the golden hour after sunset. Canon 50D Sigma 10-20EX. Processed DPHDR5 and Photoshop.
Sunset at Anglet's famous beach with a little heat haze floating in the air.
This beach's name (bedroom of love) is in memory of a love story between 2 young people. They used to meet in a cavern along the beach because their union was not allowed. One day the ocean was stronger than usual, and a wave took them forever Beautiful story, isn't it? 😊
Smoke from fires in Montana is reaching Kansas. The skies are somewhat different, varying from a milky blue during the day pinkish-orange tones at sunset.
Essaouira is a city in the western Moroccan economic region of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz, on the Atlantic coast. Since the 16th century, the city has also been known by its Portuguese name of Mogador or Mogadore. The Berber name means the wall, a reference to the fortress walls that originally enclosed the city.
A 3 photo stitch of last nights sunset. Really like the pattern the plastic on the field makes and with the distortion of the 10mm to accentuate it, I think makes for a nice foreground.

So I kinda found a new spot at a familiar place to shoot my sunset tonight. I'm liking the results here.
Taken at quarter to 10 PM last Friday during a gorgeous sunset photo walk with Beefy, this was ISO 6400 and 1/400th of a second exposure time.
It's so nice to have a camera that can handle low light conditions with ease and still provide a beautiful range of colours.
Taken on the banks of the beautifully calm and placid Bow River, at one of my favorite spots.
Hope you are all having an excellent weekend so far!
