The Sweet Pepperbush wildflowers (Clethra alnifolia) currently blooming on the Blakeley battlefield are a magnet for butterflies...in late August, Blazing Star wildflowers will take over as the butterfly go-to choice!

The Sweet Pepperbush is also known as the Summersweet...

The Japanese Snowbell tree is covered in blooms and it smells divine!! The earliest fragrance is the Viburnum, followed by the Lilacs, next up is the Snowbell and then the Summersweet. All near a bench in a part of the garden that gets morning sun and afternoon shade.

Think I'll just go out there with a glass of wine and enjoy the scent!!

We got our computer back earlier than I thought we might. My son's game worked for one day (even though the sound didn't work when we got it back), but neither of my kid's games work again.
