Our talented Baltimore City Public Schools students showcased their photo collage work, painting, and pottery at Artscape 2017. Then, they took the stage at Station North and the BCPSS District Office for dance, music, and spoken word performances.
Stars are shining at the Avondale Regional Branch Library's 16th Annual Talent Show! Performers include singers, dancers, a gymnast, magician, scientist, reader, and artist/storyteller.
Our end of 2022 Summer Arts for Learning Academy performances and art exhibit at Pimlico Elementary Middle School included dance, visual arts, a fashion show, music, theatre, and FUN!
We closed out Virtual SALA with an ice cream social! After a long summer of learning from the screen, families got to come out to the Sisson Street Community Garden for a social distance treat: Taharka Brothers Ice Cream! Students also got to take home free window sill garden kits from Great Kids Farm!

Stars are shining at the Avondale Regional Branch Library's 16th Annual Talent Show! Performers include singers, dancers, a gymnast, magician, scientist, reader, and artist/storyteller.
It's an afternoon of music- making fun at the Avondale Regional Branch Library as their teens got an introduction to digital music creation and manipulation. They learn drum sequencing and editing techniques using digital and live samples with professional software such as Pro Tools and MPC Studio.

This summer many of the Avondale Regional Branch Library's families tracked their minutes read with the on-line app, Beanstack. And WOW, just WOW! Avondale Library youth and teens read a total of 151,484 minutes! Congratulations to these Beanstack winners, generated from readers that completed at least 400 minutes of reading!

Downtown Branch kicked off the Make.Play.Read.Learn program with tons of fun activities for all ages. We played video games, made Dr. Who-inspired masks and paper robots, tried science experiments, and visited with animals from the Chattanooga Zoo. We even read stories to Jag the Reading Dog. He's a great listener!
The Northgate Branch kicked off the Make.Play.Read.Learn. Summer @ChattLibrary program with a visit from Chief Meteorologist Patrick Core. He taught us about the weather and the atmosphere and how to be safe during tornados. We had loads of fun making buttons and friendship bracelets while all the kids got signed up for creative challenges at the library this summer.
