Not a spectacular sunset, but I liked the colors. Used a 3 stop ND filter to smooth out the water.

De lang verwachte...in mijn dromen verschijnende blauwtjes zijn gearriveerd in het veldje vlak bij mijn huis. Op een verkenningsrondje vanmiddag zag ik er wel 20 fladderen. Ik ga eigenlijk nooit meer op onderzoek zonder camera dus op een zeldzaam moment van rust kon ik deze foto maken. Later kreeg ik nog wat kansen.
Finaly the little bleu butterflies arrived (not only in my dreams :-) in a field near my house. I was scouting the area this afternoon and luckily I could take a few photo's.
Went out to photograph the sunset, and a Blue Heron landed between the sun and myself, I had to zom in a take the shot. My idea of going minimalist.

Today's We're Here Challenge: Summer Is Here
Summer in the valley has changed since moving here in 2006. It use to be the Summer heat chased the snowbirds and tourists home. A lot of business downtown closed for the Summer because they didn't have customers. Now (mostly since 2020) the snowbirds stay and a lot of them have made the valley their permanent home. The tourists seem to be here 24/7...they just keep coming.

...for an 80-year-old. Bugs Bunny turned 80 on July 28. He and I share a birth month. I have had this commerative glass since we both turned 50, 30 years ago. And the small shot glass under the palm commerates another 80-year-old, Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice.
