The gray catbirds usually arrive in this area in the spring. They are quick to pop in and out of the bushy overgrowth on the hillside. I will likely catch a glimpse of one usually after I have heard their interesting and easily identifiable calls. To have a moment like this is all owing to the profusion of fruit on the mulberry tree. The catbirds love love love the berries and in the morning sunlight high up in the tree, this plucky bird shows up for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Hello amazing Flickr People !!

It is Friday again !! And I love it ! Today is a blue day at color my World Daily and we celebrate fruits at Looking close on Friday.

Unfortunately for me I didn’t plant any fruits (except tomatoes) in my garden this year. So I have no strangely shaped fruits to show you today (but don’t worry, something « freaky» is planned for tomorrow ;-)). But since we eat lots of fruits, there is always a fruit at my house ready to for a photoshoot.

I had several very complicated concepts for this theme but I end up with a very minimal and simple picture. And since I absolutely love strawberries, why not ?

In our garden we have these Wineberry. The Japanese wineberry is delicious summer fruit, eating when you pick up.
