So I have decided that I want a Summer doll, but now I have to make a choice between these two sets. I love the boots, the accessories and the face on the LITDH Summer, but the fashion set offers a lot more value for money, even though I don't particularly like the face on that doll very much. But going by the current LITDH doll prices, I should probably get the Dreamhouse Summer, especially since they're both for the same price.
Any suggestions?

This trip to the flea market was just as fun as the others. There seems to be a common theme of the older Fashionistas dolls in this haul, because I found three of them on this trip!
One of these is actually the Life In The Dreamhouse Barbie doll, with a tan-ish skin tone and a bigger head. I already have her from a previous trip, so this was bought as a body donor. Also purchased was a Sporty Summer Fashionistas Doll with a red hair streak, and a pink haired doll that is a Swappin' Styles head. She's actually cute, so I might keep her as she is, although the Nikki doll dress she comes in is a great find that I was glad to get!
Also found was this Beach Nikki that I mostly got for the swimsuit, although her face is pretty cute too, and a very very pretty older blonde Barbie doll that I pretty much fell in love with ( her ID would be very appreciated ). Lastly, I got this awesome Disney Store Flynn Ryder doll that should be fun to customize! Great finds and good times!

There are a lot of versions of this doll , from left China with long hair, China with normal hair and indonesia

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I thought that nobody could beat my Life in the Dreamhouse "2 Pack" Summer doll. But the day I met this cutie, I stood corrected. I am completely enamored by this beauty. She was part of the "Princess and the Pauper Lot" of 2019, which we acquired on opening day of the flea market season. Despite being in a bin with sixteen other dollies, Summer still held her own. I admit that I was substantially more excited about finding Summer than her Barbie counterpart. Things were even more amazing when I realized her original swimsuit was still present in the bags of doll clothes. Even though Summer is a total babe, her large, oversized beach feet mean she looks a tad silly in casual doll attire instead of beach wear. Anyways, I struggled very much with Summer's hair. Colleen was the one to wash, condition, and detangle her tresses. So I assumed that she had saran hair like Beach Fun Barbie. I realized my mistake after Summer's hair dried after the first boil wash, and it was a massive poof. It took not one, not two, not three, but FOUR boil washes to tame the beast....shocking I know! It was well worth the extra effort though. Summer looks even more fabulous with her ultra sleek mane. I have to say that photos just don't do her any justice. She has very delicate, faint face paint that doesn't photograph as well since it isn't super saturated. But in person, the first feature of Summer's I appreciate would be her warm, brown eyes. They are complimented splendidly by her caramel highlighted hair. She's the kind of doll that would make even the simplest of ensembles a show stopper!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I seriously cannot believe how long I've had my first Beach Glam Summer. I know she wasn't a childhood doll of mine, but she still feels prehistoric. That's because the doll on the left joined my collection so early on, when my doll hobby got resurrected in 2011. Colleen and I took a five year hiatus from dolls when I was a teenager. I never, ever anticipated that I'd get back into them as a nineteen year old. In fact, I thought that when the last doll had been packed up, I'd never buy another one again. And then it happened...Dad got sick with cancer and I reevaluated the kind of person I had become. I realized I no longer knew who I was. Everything I was at the time was fabricated--an attempt to conceal who I really was. And so slowly but surely I started to think about dolls. Within time I was buying collector books, and by January 2, 2011, I was purchasing dolls. It took some time to readjust to the doll world. Taking a five year break from dolls is kind of like taking a five year break from technology/electronics. So much changes in only a few years--kids that were once obsessed with dolls could care less about them, and doll companies have to redesign their dolls to capture the interest of the new generation of kids. And of course, these new eras of dolls represent/reflect what is popular at the time in culture, fashion, beauty, and what is simply relevant. There were no such things as hobbit dolls when I was a kid. There were no dolls with these massive beach feet, and Summer wasn't a friend of Barbie that was all that important. So when I met my first gal, on the right, I was shell shocked. I thought she looked bloated and ugly when we first encountered on another in the "Bratz Guy bin" that fall, of 2011. She repulsed me a bit, so at first she was going to be donated. But within a few months time, I had a change of heart. The more deeply invested I got into dolls, the more I couldn't imagine getting rid of any. Those childish notions that "dolls had feelings" started to replace my forced adult snobbery. I stopped caring so much about who was or wasn't rare or collectible, and who was or wasn't someone I grew up with. I just couldn't cast out dolls like Summer at some point. And while it took me several more years to get to a truly open minded place with doll collecting, it didn't take all that long for me to become a bit more like my twelve year old, doll obsessed self. So while Summer may have at first been spurned and rejected, within a few years, she got to wear brand new, store bought clothes, and even got handmade earrings.
Nearly six years after the fact, I found my second Beach Glam Summer doll, on the left. If the arrival of my first Summer doll had been documented on video, it would have been most obvious how much I had evolved as a doll collector and a person, if you compared it to how I reacted when I got my second doll. There were lots of newer Barbies in the "$5 Bin Bonanza" that my second Summer came from. This time around, I was identifying them left and right. I also was excited to get replacements for some of the same dolls I once got rid of in 2011/2012. Case in point, Tricky Triplets Barbie also came from "Bratz Guy bin," but unlike Summer, she got kicked out. And lo and behold, I ended up with another one in the "$5 Bin Bonanza." This time, I celebrated her, and even though she was filthy and squalid, I loved her. As for Summer, my reaction was, "Oh cool, another Beach Glam Summer! And this one has her original earrings! I hope she has her swimsuit too!" I'm really glad that the dolls I've adopted in more recent times, like my duplicated Beach Glam Summer, never have to be subjected to the scrutiny and harsh criticism that my first adult purchased dolls were exposed to. I can only hope that old Summer has forgiven me, and that new Summer knows I love her!
Mermaids love to sing, and they especially love to be surprised by the way they sound outside of the ocean, so very often during the dark hours of the night, they come out of the water, seat themselves on a boulder or rock, and sing with their beautiful voices!
Here, for the ‘Sing’ theme for day 23 of #mermaydg2018, we see a mermaid so engrossed in singing that she doesn’t realize that the sun is rising, and that she has a mesmerized spectator watching her!

My local store has, among many others, these 4 ladies in stock. I'm willing to spend on buying just one of these. They're all priced the same, more or less, so I'm very confused.
I only want Nikki for the body and costume, Raquelle has a great face and okay dress, Summer has a very cool costume and Barbie's hair is too awesome!

Dreama thinks about how her day started, she was at the café studying for an upcoming final when a handsome guy sat down and started talking to her.
He introduced himself as Chandler. She knew who he was, he was the actor Zac Boltons younger brother. He is a wealthy guy and he seems so nice and down to earth.
She wondered what he could want with a normal girl like herself. He invited her to go shopping with him, he promised her he would take her to Addison's. She always dreamed of going into that store, but only the socialites and celebrities could afford that place.
