Hardly more than a cardboard box with a handle, hinges and a latch. This is what I used for the first four years of my school career.

It's busy here at the moment so not much time for Flickr and photography but here's a photo I processed a few weeks back.
I love my retro suitcase! I want to travel to all the places on it! And I wish Chloe could always come too!
Having our connection flight from NC to NY cancelled due to severe weather and we are forced to spend another night away from home. I found this image of Old suitcase I saw in Hay-on-Wye appropriate...

Just couldn't resist another photo with Grandpa's suitcase. Besides, it's quite dreary out today for anything outside.

Introducing the repurposed vintage suitcase Stan!
Upcycled legs from an abandoned table, functional as storage and a table top.
The Valmobile Suitcase Scooter is one of the world’s most interesting scooters. Designed by French inventor Victor Bouffort, it was extensively marketed in Japan, America and Europe, but did not meet with great success. It missed the scooter boom years of the fifties, and was adversely affected by the flood of Japanese mopeds in the early sixties which killed off all competition from European manufacturers. It did sell in small numbers in America, as there was a niche market there for small scooters. It was also far superior to any of the American models. Of course it was nicknamed the suitcase scooter because when it was folded it looked like a suitcase.
In Liverpool in 2011. . .I was admiring these lifelike suitcases after kicking one thinking that it was tin. A talkative sailor told me that those heaped stone carved suitcases were suggesting a welcome to immigrants. I didn't believe him then, nor do I do so now.
But with so much in the Brexit Leave or Remain debate targeting immigrants I thought that it would be a good picture to put up now.
As this art piece is on the road to the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral (Catholic) whose parish was once mostly Irish immigrants, come over in the mid 1850s, it could well be a celebration of immigration. I would like to think so.

I used different red fabrics for the hearts. They will be a wedding present. Each heart gets little "moneywings" on the left an on the right side.
While Judy and I were packing for a cruise, Stabbur (my late and beloved cat on left) and Kiwi (on right) decided they wanted to go with us. Kiwi appears to be on the lookout so they don't get caught.
This image is for the second theme of the LightBulb Project that I am hosting. I'm a bit overwhelmed with gratitude at how many people have joined and are posting their beautiful photos.
Sometimes I feel like I don't often have time to sit and reflect on all the images that I see, that I take. I carry them with me in my memories but I'm afraid that I'll forget them all one day. This image is inspired first by the song "Time After TIme" and also by the notion that we carry with us the memories of all that we do, but we should stop and look through them once in a while.
.....dear Flickr friends, this will be my last upload before my vacation. I'm glad to see you all again but now it's time to breathe ...

Look at the happy couple, lounging around in their giant neon suitcase, giving us a wave! I wonder what the sign looked like before they updated the main portion of it ... was it as charming as the top?
I was invited by my gorgeous friend Bella to guest with her for the Birthday round of Shop Hop!
So I made a cute lil suitcase that can be used as decor to put your plushies and trinkets in, or as a chill space to take a break in.
