There've been a few places I was looking forward to see with my own eyes since years. One of them was the Horseshoe Bend. Although It couldn't deliver the "wows"" and "omgs" I hoped it would (just because we've seen such stunning views and canyons the days before), it still was an great experience. Calm and silent during dark hours it's totally overrun by tourists from all over the world during sunset. One (obviously suicidal) girl posed for her friend's phone while doing handstands and some other impressing stunts, just a few centimeters between her and the edge. Hello again, acrophobia, long time no see.

Spotted this juvenile Dicyrtomina saundersii moving over a piece of terracota that had a spider in residence.
The poor thing got caught in a few strands of silk on the edge. It struggled for a few seconds to no avail, it even everted it's vesicles in an attempt to free itself.
As I'm a softy, I gave it the gentlest of nudges and it leapt free! Unfortunately it's leap took it into an even worse predicament, and was left dangling by it's legs and furcula from another part of the web.
Fortunately this time it was able to free itself quickly and escaped to freedom!!

This bird flew right into my office window today. I thought she died, but noticed she was still breathing and nudged her with my finger and that jolted her to life a little bit more and she sat up and opened her eyes. I took some pictures because it's not everyday I get to be that close to a woodpecker, and then I left her be. I checked back a little while later and she was gone, so she must have flown off since we don't have any cats here. :)

7. I have to drink either tea or coffee before going to bed. The whole feeling of warmth that flows inside me gets me all sleepy and happy.
6. I just got a turtle 2 days back….and I’ve named him bling bling…he’s very shy.
5. I think am sarcastic and lame and weird and I use and a lot!!…. And actually, people around me don't usually expect me to be serious. Or quiet…
4. I get extremely angry (and sick at times) when people wake me up in the middle of my sleep
3. I was the captain of throwball team in school and college as well…one thing I always taught my team was “to aim for the opponents glasses or nose” we never lost a single match !
2. I love to watch football …I’m a good goal keeper but I CAN NOT play football…my teacher made me play a match and when I got all tired to keep the ball from being taken by the other players….i sat on it and said.. “lets see how you take it from me now..!...my teacher nearly had a heart stroke…..
