Some of the cabinet doors haven't been put on, but we've moved into all the ones that are finished. The backsplash tile will wait until the countertop arrives, which may be never. There are also a number of trim pieces that still need to be installed, as well as some light fixtures.

The fog in the back is rising from the Chena River. Parts of the river remain unfrozen year-round and usually an immense amount of steam will signify where it's not frozen.

Back home from warm and wet Scotland (relatively) to cold and dry

Sweden. Had a great time meeting up with family and old friends.

We also seem to have left something behind, Elsa. Keeping my mum and

dad busy no doubt, and distressingly she doesn't seem to be missing us

at all. Ungrateful little...
