I was waiting for this train. It was coming out of the tunnel as the car careened out of control and hit the tree. An old woman (read: idiot) promptly got out of the train and started yelling at police to move the standby operators truck out of the way of the train. They called her stupid and told her there was still someone in the car.
Tuesday, June 10th 2008. A car careens down Duboce street at about 20 - 30mph and loses control. A man crossing Fillmore street at the intersection with Duboce street is nearly hit and has to dive out of the way of being hit. The car swerves, hits the sidwalk curb, then hits a tree. The car then topples onto its side, then onto its roof. A woman is inside, and after inspection appears to be having a seizure.

I love that car. I've taken it down some pretty sketchy two-tracks, loaded it and hauled more with it than I ought, and it comes through like a champ.
3 years I have owned this 2018 Subaru Outback, and have had the software updates and replaced the head unit and still this fucking thing does not work right, What the Fuck Subaru?
Our rental car for this trip was a Subaru Outback. The rental company was offering a reduced rate upgrade and we took it. The upgrade seemed ridiculous at first but I soon appreciated and loved this car. The best part was the plastic flooring in the back. It was great for putting our wet and muddy clothes on without worrying about messing up the interior.

After driving around my trusty old 1996 Honda Accord for ten years, I decided to upgrade, so I bought myself a 2006 Subaru Outback. The Honda didn't have a lot of room for camping gear and was not at all good for crappy Forest Service roads, so I wanted a car that would solve those two problems. And here we are! I've had it less than a month and I totally love it.
