Iceland - Day 2
i was supposed to get an Opel Astro but somehow ended up with a Subaru Outback. awesome.
We were on a National Back Country Byway. I didn't know there was such a thing. It was very nice and well maintained for such an out of the way location. As our guide book stated, it is way out there in booger country. Cheers to the BLM.
I drove the whole way back going about 15mph so that Matthew would not get carsick. You can see how it is partially paved here, so you spend a lot of time dodging the potholes. I wonder what the history of this road is. Mining and cattle probably. Maybe timber.
