After seeing Flickr friend Wes Iversen's take on the Pep Ventosa technique last week, I looked into how it's done.
This was 9 photo layers merged.
Then color ranges widened in LAB. But rather than toning down the exaggeration, left exaggerated for Sliders Sunday.
And some dodging and burning performed.

Built in 1856 to house the collection of the prestigious Salem Athenaeum, the handsome Italianate building was sold to the Essex Institute in 1906 and housed its museum galleries and administrative offices until 1992 when the Essex Institute and the Peabody Museum merged to become the Peabody Essex Museum. Today the PEM, as one of the oldest continuously operating museums in the United States, is also one of its most prestigious, with one of the major collections of Asian art in the country. Used my last day in Lisbon to shoot directly in B&W—in this case, the Monochrome film simulation. Limestone streets and sidewalks, stylish locals dressed in white or B&W, made it a target-rich environment.
