Found this whilst wondering around the forest last November

I took this photo in the middle of last month. It is one of my yellow hibiscus flowers. As Autumn was encroaching they were trying desperately to flower but the colder nights were stopping them in their tracks and this is as far as they got. Plus, the yellow colour of them was coming out more like orange. I like their shape (& colour) despite the stunted growth

I bought this hand made sculpture in Crete

some 30 years ago as a true 3D

replica of a restored mural in the bronze age palace of Knossos where the scene is set against a blue backdrop which I have tried to recreate here.

Sports, stunt or religion? I suppose we shall never have the exact answer as there are no written records and your imagination is as good as anyone else's. Likewise whether its depicting an aurochs or simply a domesticated bull. Some have maintained that the brown male is a worker, whilst the two white dames belong to the nobilty and so shed light on bronze age class society, and I suppose there is much more to be imagined and uttered.

A couple of motorbike stunt riders at the annual Dorset Steam Fair, Tarrant Hinton, Dorset. It is the biggest vintage and traction fair in Europe.

It's 17,371 acres that's amazing to visit. A very unforgiving area of rock and stunted trees. The result of logging, forest fires and torrential rain eroding the topsoil and leaving rocks an a view.

A sign let us know that ponderosa pine trees usually grow very tall with straight trunks (as we have seen many times). This tree is surviving in poor soil at higher altitude in strong wind. It has a very different shape. This was taken on the North Cascades Highway in Washington.

Stunt Motorcyclist at the Chatsworth Show

So my brother is at the only International Stunt Academy here in Norway, training to be a stunt performer. I wanted to take some photos of him while roadtripping through the forest here in Norway. Indian Blanket Wildflower

The last several years have been noticing fewer Indian Blanket wildflowers. At one time the fields would have bountiful spreads of the Indian Blanket and the Indian Paintbrush competing.

I've never seen a crested saguaro as short as this one. Sure is bulked up, however.

I was enjoying the shade on the very hot Saturday afternoon when I heard these stunt planes flying overhead. I then jumped up, grabbed my camera and drove to the airport where I captured them landing.

Photographing straight up is a challenge. Trying to expose correctly is very difficult. However other than lighting the mid-tones in photoshop I felt this came out very well.

A stunt plane loops through the evening sky as a prelude to Addison, Texas' annual Independence Day celebration, Kaboom Town.
