Ambassador Westmacott recently hosted a reception for the British American Business Association with representatives for businesses with investments in the Washington area. The reception honoured the recipients of a scholarship, jointly sponsored by BABA and ACS International Schools, enabling local high school students to study in the UK.

British Ambassador Sir Peter Westmacott hosted a reception for over a hundred British university alumni, including Marshall, Rhodes, Mitchell, Fullbright and Gates Cambridge Scholars, living in the United States Monday night. The reception held at the ambassador’s residence celebrated the unique educational exchange between the United Kingdom and the United States. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, a Marshall Scholar himself, spoke about his experience in the UK and expressed his gratitude to the UK government for a marvellous educational opportunity.
