MDS 148, Sweet Dreams Sleeping Beauty Scrapbook Page Jan 10
Not much to this page! As usual, I used a sketch to get me going - attached below. I used the crop tool to crop the Top Note punch as I only wanted half of it. Once I had the buttons on my flower punches, I used the Align button to make them perfectly straight. One of the nicest things about creating digitally, is you can download what you want any time of the day or night, then you are able to use it IMMEDIATELY... no waiting for it to come in the mail. MDS 140 The Time Has Come
It is wonderful that we are able to make different shapes in MDS. I made a Dresden shape using the pennant punch & the half circle punch that I learnt at Heather’s class a year ago. MDS 118 Delight in the Day june 14
Thought I’d play along in another MDS Monday sketch challenge. I usually stay away from sketches with only one photo as it’s not very often that I ever only have one picture to scrap. It just so happens that I did for this week’s MDSM17. Joan provided the sketch and challenged anyone to play along using the challenge of attaching text to a shape. I did flip Joan’s sketch as my sister says your pictures shouldn’t ‘drive off’ a page – they should ‘drive on’. She is a mighty fine manual scrapbooker so I will take her word! Joan has a link to the video posted on attaching text to a shape on the Blog. So very simple to do! I hope you will play along too! MDS 134 - Birthday Invitations using MDS
You probably already know that My Digital Studio (MDS) digital designing software is fantastic for creating printable photobooks, calendars and even cards. But, did you know that can also make party planning fun, fast and fabulous? My personal favorite is making Invitations! So simple to do! Once you design your layout, simply Copy and Paste to make 3 more on an 8.5x11”page.
Done! You can print using your own printer, send them to your favorite printing place or send them directly to SU!. Cut them apart and they are ready for sending!
I made her a couple choices for her 8th party in 2012. Instead of Copying and Pasting four times, I just did it twice.
My daughter had sent me links from Etsy that I kind of copied for both invitations – this was not our original idea. I just can’t find the links now!

MDS 115 On Finding Each Other
As I have said many times, I am not good at figuring out layouts. Instead of surfing scrap page layouts this time, I surfed layouts for Blog Templates. Lots of good ones out there! Found this template so made it work for these wedding pictures. I put together the flower by color matching the colors in the printed paper. Yes, you can color match anything you want in the My Digital Studio (MDS) software by Stampin Up!. Found a new challenge on the Stamping Down Under Blog and you know how I LOVE sketches!! I am presently scrapping our youngest daughter’s pictures from 2009. MDS 120 Cinderella
Did you know that when the Drop Shadow window in MDS opens you can change the Opacity, Blur, and Color of the Drop Shadow? For the butterfly at the bottom of the page, I simply changed the color of the shadow from the default to blue! Now, hold down your pointer in the display box and you can move, yes move the shadow around – I centered it so the color showed on all sides of the top butterfly. Once you have placed the shadow where you like, click ok. Simple, simple!

One of the features of MDS that I used on this page was the ability to crop an embellishment! The zigzag stitch under the phrase was 12” – I cropped it to 3” by right clicking on it then Edit Object. Once that window opens, change the W to the width you want then hit your Tab button and it will automatically adjust the H (height). It’s that simple! I’m using a PC. I’m sure there can’t be much difference with the Mac.

MDS 119 Keep This Memory
Another very simple 12x12 digital scrap page using My Digital Studio Software by Stampin Up! For this page, I used the color match tool. I picked a color from Bobi’s sweater to match up with the circle, a blue from Jackie’s sweat shirt and a green from Wayne’s shirt. Very, very simple to do! I also used the Align tool to help me make a straight line with the chess pieces and space them evenly on my page. These pictures were really dark – I was able to lighten them with the Photo Effects tool. Notice that you can arrange your pictures behind and/or in front of the circle just like in manual scrapping!

MDS 147- Cookie Exchange Party Invitations using MDS
Have you heard all the buzz about Digital Scrapbooking using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio program? Well it turns out that you can do SO MUCH MORE with My Digital Studio than just digital scrapbooking, photobooks, calendars and cards! You can make FABULOUS Invitations! My daughter found THESE Cookie Exchange Party Invitations so we did them in MDS.
We created the front page:
The middle page:
And the last page:
Printed them out then cut them into quarters.
We cut them into tags.
We hole punched and tied each of the three tags together with ribbon.
Then we tied the invitation to the flippers she had bought at a Dollar Store.
Because most of the ladies in this Exchange are local, she handed them out personally instead of mailing them.
