So the other day I did a nerd picture. Well today the nerd came off! LOL. Well this photo is probably a bit over processed. I kinda like it all except for that huge blown highlight on the top right photo on my head! Could have been fixed by adjusting my third light but oh well. I have been playing with this photo for a while and its late and I want to get to bed. This was processed using a similar technique that Joel Grimes explains in his tutorials he sells on his website. I have to get up in a few hours! Ohhhh, tomorrow is not going to be fun. I am going to be so tired. My fault though.

Well yesterday I attempted to follow Joel Grimes's video tutorials. I have not tried to do the HDR background yet to put me in it. But I have photomatix as Joel uses, and have his tutorial videos. So I am trying to start learning his techniques. My lighting was a bit screwy yesterday with how Joel sets up, but today I did a bit more of his three light set up. Followed some of what he does in his tutorial videos. I think this one turned out better then yesterday, but its still a ways to go till I feel like its how I want it. My background here is a bit weird, but if I were to drop myself into an HDR background then this background would be erased. Anyways, here is another attempt at Joel Grimes

using a very much reduced set up (a small sheet of black vinyl background on my desk) and just one light today I took few shots of a new lure. Eventually i picked this one because is an unusual view, and most of all because I like the strange and distorted reflection under its belly.
