I remember when i first met her...she appeared very shy, but none the less she loved modeling and wanted to master it. 32/52 - 52 Weeks of 2014. "Bokeh."
Or maybe this is "Gear Porn" to follow up last week's "Food Porn" theme. Maybe not.
I know it's a bit cliche to have bokeh coming from something like this, BUT I had little time earlier in the week to get the needed supplies to do this custom shaped bokeh. And surprisingly, big box retailer Walmart didn't have some of the tools I thought I needed, so I spent time going to some other stores to get what I was looking for (though in the end it probably was more of a moot point as I could have improvised). By the time I had the templates ready, weather decided to get nasty (it is Florida in the summer, after all), so I had to improvise with a shot indoors.
In case anyone is wondering, pictured was my usual walk around kit for a while - the Canon Rebel T1i (may have been called the 500D in some areas) with the 24-105 F/4 L. Now I walk around with the 70D (which was used, in conjunction with the "nifty fifty" to take this shot), usually with the 24-105 attached.
This was my first attempt at a studio portrait. My daughter was kind enough to be my model.
Strobist: 1 Yongnuo 560IV in a shoot through umbrella CR, silver reflector CL, and bare 560IV with 1/2 CTO camera left behind model. Flashed trigger with Youngnuo 560TX.
