Brief history: The StudioLogic brand was created in Italy by Lino Ragni, owner of Fatar. The first product released by StudioLogic in 1986 was the Studio 88 digital keyboard. Now the company's products are exported to 65 countries, the range includes professional electronic keyboard instruments: synthesizers, MIDI controllers, digital pianos and organs. The most popular brand line is Numa.

MON 1ER PIANO STUDIOLOGIC ACHETER EN 2001 ET REVENDU EN 2005 POUR ACHETER UN PSR 7000 YAMAHA

My music production/gaming/general purpose computer setup. I mainly use Reaper for my DAW, guitar rig 3 so I can plug my guitars in and record, a condenser mic (not pictured) for vocals/acoustic guitar, NI Komplete for various keyboard VSTs, and Garritan Steinway for my main piano VST. The hardware to the left of the keyboard is the NI Audio Kontrol 1 and NI Kore 2. The speakers are a pair of KRK RP6 and a KRK K10S for the sub. Keyboard=Studiologic SL990XP. Keyboard tray slides in for easy piano access. There is LED rope lighting behind the desk of course (thanks lifehacker!). The monitors are 2x 22" mounted on arms so that they can be easily rotated and repositioned. "Smart" power strip that shuts all gear off when computer is shut down.

A modern take on a classic keyboard rig. The KORG SV1 is a Rhodes / Clavinet / Wurlitzer / B3 emulator with weighted keys.

The output of the SV1 can be ran through the pedalboard or directly into theAllen & Heath Zed 16 line mixer.

The Studiologic Acuna 73 Weighted Key Controller triggers Piano sounds from the Korg MicroStation which are direct routed in to the line mixer.

The pedalboard also has a stringed instrument input for using the rig to track guitar & bass parts. The line mixer has an auxiliary send to an analog guitar / bass amp.

Fatar uses an iPad app to extend the control surface of their MIDI master keyboard studiologic acuna 88.

Instead of building physical controls like drum pads into the keyboard's case, they implemented them in software, and you play the pads on the iPad's screen. Same goes for other control elements like sliders, pots, etc.

The problem in this specific case is that, what works just fine when you lay the iPad on your lap, feels pretty awkward when used at the upright angle shown in the photo.

It's tiring for your neck and shoulder muscles, and the friction between finger and touch screen feels decidedly weird.

The overall layout of the app looks pretty clean and intuitive, so it's good to see that there is ample space to place the iPad on the keyboard's top-shell in a flat position. Makes room for notes, too, which I do prefer to prop up vertically.

My article "iPads Rock Musikmesse 2011" at The Mac Observer has more on music apps for iPad.

This shows the overall console which has been constructed to be as compact as possible. The pedalboard is from an old Viscount Domus 8 organ which has been converted to midi utilising magnets and reed-switches. The toe-pistons are somewhat bespoke, utilising brass door stops and car door plunger switches. The three manuals are from Studiologic SL-161 keyboards (see separate picture for more details).

An appropriate computer for the Haupwerk software together with Touch Screen Monitors have yet to be added.

See www.hauptwerk.com for more information on the software.

MON 1ER PIANO STUDIOLOGIC ACHETER EN 2001 ET REVENDU EN 2005 POUR ACHETER UN PSR 7000 YAMAHA

Picture shows the top manual with plywood base for the keybed set into softwood endcheeks and bracing strip across the back-edge of the keyboard itself (not shown!). The front of the plywood keybed is set back from the rail to allow inclusion of thumb pistons.

It uses a standard Fatar 61note weighted keyboard as found in the Studiologic SL-161. The casework has been butchered to reutilise the electronics from the Studiologic keyboard (the two red micromatch connectors for the Fatar keyboard are visible in the picture). One feature of the SL-161 electronics is that it is identical to that in the SL-880, an 88-note keyboard. Hence, there are spare notes available which have been utilised for the thumb pistons. Conversion from SPST thumb pistons to Break - Make contacts is achieved using a bespoke circuit constructed on stripboard which sits below the keyboard itself.

See www.hauptwerk.com for more information on the software.

アナログシンセ・スタジオロジックのsledgeが良いね。

"Studiologic Sledge" Synthesizer with Waldorf technic.

To be true:

2 weeks before the Musikmesse in Frankfurt i thought about ordering this new synth, but as i know that it's presented at the Musikmesse i waited to test it there. Luckily in between i had the possibility to get a "Korg Radias" in very good condition with a fair Price. When i saw the "Sledge" at the Musikmesse my first thought were that it's an absolute "No Go".

Whatever quality the included technic is, the body is fucking bad plastic and you automatically think about toys for children. Also the knobs are the same.

As you see, even the display is very small. I don't understand this business logic.

WHAT A SHAME !!!

Some pictures I took documenting my replacement of the Pro-1 membrane keyboard with a Fatar one, stolen from a Studiologic controller device. I relied on the information available on the thread started by Grant here, musictechnologiesgroup.com/blog/?p=30 , especially the document created by "PDN" that's referred to on that thread, or directly at app.box.com/s/8ibr32f2yxqhys7je2kt , for more details and pictures.

...ööö a Fatar picit nagyobb. És nehezebb. :D

Virtual analog, three oscillators with Minimoog-ike architecture.

Pretty sure the keybed is the Fatar 3 octave one that Doepfer used to sell.
