From a studio lighting class given by Ron Nabity. These are my favorites. Both had a light placed opposite and slightly to the front to mimic light from a window. Light was diffused. A hair highlight behind might have added to Dona's image.
Had great fun last night experimenting with a colleagues lights!

Here I used a well a window pattern and a large aperture to blur the background.
Stobist: Back softbox and black background all around.
Just took a studio lighting workshop - so much to learn and know... had to take some shots of the set-up so I remember what we did... it was really nice to be able to a professional photographer's (EXPENSIVE) toys and studio!!!
