LaVern: "My time performing in music halls in London, especially after I ran into Daisy Buchanan, was certainly one of the most hair-raising times in my life. I learned a lot about myself and about how some people are not at all what you first think."
"But I can't sum up the experience in a sentence--it was that...unusual, to say the least!"
"Still, I also learned that no matter what, nothing would stop me from being who I am and trying to get where I wanted to go in entertainment."

the Brunton-Clune studios will become paramount studios.
The intersection of bronson and melrose is in the center of the photo. Van Ness is the street on the right that runs all the way through.
Hollywood memorial cemetery, (now hollywood forever), is located just north of the studio.

The local copse has a lot of termites, and each winter storm brings down another pine tree. This one broke rather spectacularly at 6 feet above ground and splintered into exciting shapes. Unfortunately, it is in a terrible location for spectacular photos, especially whole views, so I was rather happy to at least be able to use it for some interesting framing this time.
All my molds and stamps are in the tackle box on the table. And I found a use for the thread holder--all my cutters are in plain view now. Great light for photos in the afternoon, as well.
