On 29 November 2016, a delegation from Lusaka City Council (Zambia) visited Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) for a learning exchange on Rwanda’s Green Growth Strategy, with focus of food, water, energy, transport and waste management.
Nature Color Studies.
Yet again „the walk“, I guess you know every single tree as well as I do right now ... BUT: I tried few things with the rendering, both while taking the shots and when processing them. When shooting I used a Kenko Nostaltone Orange, which is basically a diffusor and warming filter combined. That's where the color and softness comes from. I used a zoom lens all the way open, which gives vignette and fall off and a bit of additional softness. when proscessing them in LR and PS I payed attention to „fill the highlights with color“ and control the highlights in general. There was a beautiful „soft sunshine“ today (partially cloudy), and the light was so nice I hope I could capture that a little bit at least.

Studies for college, we had to draw sections or parts of our faces from mirrors or from photos. This is the photo variety from me as I ran out of positions I could draw from fairly fast.
Andy sneakily took this photo of me in Betty's. We went here for dinner before going to the theatre to see Chicago.

The picture was taken in a nearby business park. Some of the premises are pretty untidy and cluttered with overseas containers and other stuff. It gives an interesting composition from this point of view I think with the blue and yellow elements almost forming a line.

Study of waterlilies. The lily ponds at Longwood Gardens have a wonderful disply of many diiferent varieties of magnficent waterlilies. The lily pods are a a major attraction for local photographers. Below are some of the different waterlilies that I photographed when I visited Longwood a couple of weeks ago.
