Each year in the spring, the faculty and staff at LCC recognize outstanding students from their respective program of study.
Students are honored at the "Outstanding Students Awards Ceremony" hosted by the LCC Associated Students and Office of Instruction.

Cal U graphic design majors Jaclyn Reinbold, left, and Katherine Burgess recently earned awards for their work at the Pittsburgh chapter of AIGA's Context Student Competition. Jaclyn received the AIGA Gold Award (the top prize) with Katherine taking home the AIGA Design Excellence Award. Thanks to AIGA's portfolio day, Katherine landed a position at Top Hat Agency in Pittsburgh following graduation.

The 83rd Annual Lower Columbia College Commencement Ceremony was held at Kelso High School Schroeder Field in Kelso, Washington, USA on Friday, June 21, 2019.
Commencement Ceremony Speaker: Tonya M. Drake, Ph.D., Chancellor, Western Governors University (WGU) Washington.
Credentials awarded: 535 Associate Degrees (including 131 Running Start students who earned a high school diploma and associate degree concurrently); 29 Certificates; 92 High School Diplomas; plus GED Certificates.
Over a hundred faculty and staff, in addition to college administration, were in attendance. Approximately 2,000 guests attended the ceremony.
The Lower Columbia College Foundation honored scholarship donors and student recipients at the annual Scholarship Social on November 6, 2019. The event was held on campus at The Rose Center for the Arts.
Guest speakers included Rick Arkell, Rick Arkell Next Step Foundation Scholarship donor along with student speakers, Nicole Page, Multicraft Trades Scholarship recipient and Maria Bueno, Lower Columbia Retired Educators BAS Education Scholarship recipient.
Special Performance by the LCC Choir, "A Million Dreams" directed by Gina Challed.
Foundation scholarships are key to unlocking the opportunity for many students to pursue a college degree.
The Foundation is grateful for the important contributions of our community of donors, faculty, and staff in improving the quality of life and place through education.

Austin Community College Fall 2017 Commencement ceremonies on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Frank Erwin Center.
Thirty-one year old Laura Scott received a First Class Honours in her B.Mid degree and was presented with the Myfanwy McAteer award at Swansea University’s Winter Degree and Award Congregations at Swansea’s Grand Theatre.

Austin Community College Fall 2017 Commencement ceremonies on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Frank Erwin Center.
LCC faculty recognized students who have achieved academic excellence this year.
Ben Soleim earned the Outstanding Student Award for Speech and was also chosen for the All-Washington Academic Team and the ASLCC 2015 Hall of Honors.
Former student, Alisha McLeod was recognized as the Chemical Dependency Outstanding Student. Her mother Marie accepted the award on her behalf.
In total forty-five awards were presented during the evening.

Robert first started his studies more than 30 years ago - after resuming them part-time in 2006, he graduates with First Class Honours, and a dissertation that 'could be considered for publication'.
