Every month the RSP program holds a gathering for all of their students

The 83rd Annual Lower Columbia College Commencement Ceremony was held at Kelso High School Schroeder Field in Kelso, Washington, USA on Friday, June 21, 2019.

 

Commencement Ceremony Speaker: Tonya M. Drake, Ph.D., Chancellor, Western Governors University (WGU) Washington.

 

Credentials awarded: 535 Associate Degrees (including 131 Running Start students who earned a high school diploma and associate degree concurrently); 29 Certificates; 92 High School Diplomas; plus GED Certificates.

 

Over a hundred faculty and staff, in addition to college administration, were in attendance. Approximately 2,000 guests attended the ceremony.

In July 2015 LCC President Chris Bailey and his family walked 500 miles to support student success! The final leg of their journey ended at the LCC campus, where they were met by LCC faculty and staff.

On April 11th, 2025, Sherman College of Chiropractic celebrated a pivotal achievement with the Spring Intern Pinning Ceremony. This special event marked the transition of our dedicated students into the next phase of their chiropractic journey as they officially became interns. Surrounded by family, friends, and faculty, these future doctors of chiropractic proudly received their pins, symbolizing their hard work, growth, and commitment to serving others through chiropractic care. Join us in celebrating this inspiring milestone for the Class of Spring 2025!

The 2019 Horns and Halos Gala was held in the Rose Center for the Arts on September 28, 2019. This year’s Gala hosted by the LCC Foundation Board of Directors was a celebration of LCC's 85th Anniversary.

 

The 2018-19 Benefactor of the Year award was presented to Delores Rodman. Lori Smith Schell received the award on behalf of her mother who could not attend the event. LCC President Chris Bailey presented Richard Peters with the 2019 Alumnus of the Year award.

 

This year's student speaker was Jade Jennings, who is enrolled in the first cohort of LCC's new BAS-TE Program.

All proceeds from the event, benefit the Lower Columbia College Foundation 'College Success Fund.'

The Lower Columbia College Foundation honored scholarship donors and student recipients at the annual Scholarship Social on November 6, 2019. The event was held on campus at The Rose Center for the Arts.

 

Guest speakers included Rick Arkell, Rick Arkell Next Step Foundation Scholarship donor along with student speakers, Nicole Page, Multicraft Trades Scholarship recipient and Maria Bueno, Lower Columbia Retired Educators BAS Education Scholarship recipient.

 

Special Performance by the LCC Choir, "A Million Dreams" directed by Gina Challed.

 

Foundation scholarships are key to unlocking the opportunity for many students to pursue a college degree.

 

The Foundation is grateful for the important contributions of our community of donors, faculty, and staff in improving the quality of life and place through education.
